Inspiration

The idea/concept for this group existed for a long time as it has often been the case that there is undeniable levels of chemistry, camaraderie, and true brotherhood when men of great caliber meet and make good things happen, not only for themselves but for the respective communities.

The inspiration for this group was a synthesis of a lot of groups but two that stood out are listed below:

• Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters

• Old Men Grooving

Note: A young Japanese girl said to the founder of this group, “You look like the black guy in Old Men Grooving” and from then, while interesting and amusing, the band’s name became an inspiration for this group’s name, brothers in the far east (brife.org)
